Welcome Back!

Dear Staff, Students, and Families,

Welcome back to a brand new term at St Laurence O'Toole's Specialist School! We hope everyone had a restful break and is ready for another exciting year ahead.

A special welcome to our new principal, Clare, who has joined us this term. We are thrilled to have her leadership and vision guiding the school. At the same time, we want to extend our warmest wishes to our former principal, Nuala, as she begins her well-deserved retirement. We wish her many happy and fulfilling years ahead!

We've already jumped back into our music lessons with Shane, and the creativity is flowing! This term, students are learning how to write their own lyrics and record them with music - it's amazing to see the talent blossoming in the classroom!

We are also delighted to announce that swimming lessons with Caroline have begun, and the students are excited to dive in and improve their skills in the pool.

Boxing sessions with Paul are also back in full swing 🥊. Students are learning self-defense techniques and mastering the different types of punches - it's a great way to build both confidence and fitness!

In the kitchen, things are heating up with Sonia's cooking classes. So far, we've perfected the art of making the ultimate toastie and some delicious smoothies. The enthusiasm and culinary skills on display are fantastic!

We've also been busy in our garden, planting seeds and bulbs in the raised beds. With any luck, we'll be seeing beautiful daffodils blooming come early spring - we can't wait!

Wishing everyone a wonderful and productive first term. Let's make it a great one!

Best regards,
The Staff at St Laurence O'Toole's Specialist School
